Department of Sharjah Municipality receives ISO 9001 certification.

URS Middle East (URSME) certified the Purchase and Contract Department of Sharjah Municipality with ISO 9001:2008 certification.

In a special ceremony held on 4 October 2015, the certification was presented to Mr. Abdulrahim Mohamed (Director of the Purchase Department) and his team, by Mr. Umar Ansari, Business Development Manager for URSME.

One of the main objectives of the Sharjah city municipality is to always be upgraded with the recent trends, and offer quality, administration and services.

Mr. Ansari said, “On behalf of my team at URSME, I would like to extend our warmest congratulations to the Sharjah Municipality for achieving yet another milestone. It is our great honor to be part of your continuous success”. He also added, “We also look forward to future certifications of their other departments.”

Recently, the Human Resource Department of the Sharjah municipality was also certified by URSME for ISO 9001:2008 certification.

These certifications demonstrate that the Sharjah Municipality is committed to offering quality services and management to the citizens of Sharjah, and manage the purchase & control department operations efficiently and productively.

Abeer Saeed Abu Zanjal (Head of Contract & Project Section) at the Sharjah Municipality.
